EXI Platform
Onboarding
made simple.
Everything you need to get your ride-hailing app deployed. Three simple stages — you only do the technical setup once you're ready to go live.
Stage 1
Sign up & verify
~5 min
Stage 2
Tell us about your app
~5 min
Stage 3
Provision & deploy
~30–40 min
Your app, your data, your account
EXI deploys into a Google Firebase project that belongs to you — so you keep full ownership of your data and billing. We only need temporary access to deploy and maintain it.
Before you begin, have ready
- ✓A business email address and a mobile phone number (for SMS verification)
- ✓A Google account with a billing profile (card) — your EXI app runs on a Firebase project you own and control
- ✓Your app name, company name, and website
Stage 1
Create your free account
Signing up is free. There's no commitment until you choose to deploy.
Create your account
Sign up at the EXI sign-up page.
Verify your email (required)
Enter the one-time code (OTP) we send you.
Verify your phone (required)
Enter the OTP we text you by SMS — this confirms you're a genuine operator and lets us reach you fast during deployment.
Verify a work email (optional)
Adding your company email gets you faster, prioritised support during deployment.
Stage 2
Tell us about your app
Provide your application details so we can prepare your deployment.
About your app domain
This is the web address your app will run on (e.g. app.lasataxi.com or lasataxi.com). You must own this domain. After we deploy your app, we'll email you the exact DNS records to add at your domain registrar so the domain points to your EXI app.
Stage 3
Provision your project & deploy
The one-time technical setup. Follow each step in order. Prefer not to do it yourself? Ask about Managed Setup and we'll handle this stage for you.
⚠️ 3.2 — Choose your data region carefully
Your data location is set once and can never be changed. When you create your database and storage below, pick the region closest to where you operate for the best speed and to meet local data rules. If unsure, ask us before continuing.
3.1 — Create your Firebase project
- ›Go to the Firebase Console and click Add project.
- ›Enter your project name, then copy the Project ID shown beneath it — you'll submit this later. Click Continue.
- ›Configure Google Analytics (recommended), then click Create project.
3.3 — Enable billing (Blaze plan)
- ›EXI requires the Blaze (pay-as-you-go) plan.
- ›In the Firebase Console, open Realtime Database.
- ›Upgrade from Spark to Blaze — this needs a billing profile. You only pay Google for what your app actually uses.
3.4 — Set up the Realtime Database
- ›Open Build → Realtime Database → Create Database.
- ›Choose your region (see the warning above).
- ›Start in Locked mode — we apply the correct security rules during deployment.
3.5 — Set up Cloud Storage
- ›Open Build → Storage → Get started.
- ›Choose the same region as your database.
- ›Start in Production mode.
3.6 — Give EXI deployment access
- ›Open Project settings → Users and permissions.
- ›Click Add member.
- ›Enter the EXI deployment account: lasatst@gmail.com
- ›Set the role to Owner, then click Add member. You can remove this access any time after deployment.
3.7 — Create your Google Maps API key
- ›Open the Google Maps Platform console.
- ›Select the same project you created for Firebase.
- ›Ensure billing is enabled for the project.
- ›Go to ☰ Menu → APIs & Services → Credentials.
- ›Click Create credentials → API key and copy the key.
- ›Restrict the key to only the APIs below — this protects you from misuse and unexpected charges.
3.8 — Enable the required APIs
Enable all of these under APIs & Services → Library. This is essential — the app won't work if any are missing.
Core (always)
- Routes API
- Geocoding API
- Places API (New)
- Firebase Extensions API
Web app
- Maps JavaScript API
Mobile apps
- Maps SDK for Android
- Maps SDK for iOS
3.9 — Submit & verify your details
Submit your Firebase Project ID and Google Maps API key. We instantly test your key against the required APIs and tell you exactly what (if anything) still needs enabling.
Verify my setup →What happens after you submit
We verify your Project ID, deployment access, and API key.
We confirm your deployment plan and schedule the build.
Your EXI app is deployed into your project — and you're live.
